THE JOURNAL
Some wedding days are months in the making. This one came together a little differently. A last-minute Facebook message turned into one of my favorite days behind the camera. With no veil of her own, the bride borrowed my cathedral veil, proving that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness become part of the story.
Like most wedding days, everything didn’t go exactly as planned. The wedding license was accidentally left behind, and after it was finally retrieved, the couple patiently waited for the judge to call them in. Meanwhile, loved ones from across the world gathered the only way they could—through FaceTime. Her family watched from Hawaii. His family watched from India. Even separated by thousands of miles, everyone was there to witness the moment they became husband and wife.
After exchanging their vows inside one of the courthouse’s historic rooms, we stepped outside into the streets of downtown Austin. With a borrowed veil flowing behind her and the excitement of being newly married finally settling in, we wandered toward the Texas Capitol for portraits that felt timeless, intimate, and unmistakably them.
This day reminded me that beautiful weddings aren’t defined by elaborate timelines or extravagant venues. They’re defined by the people who show up, the unexpected moments you’ll laugh about for years, and the quiet joy of finally hearing the words, “I do.”

LOVE NOTE
“I have no words!! The pictures are phenomenal and exceeded our expectations…I can’t believe how you transformed so many mundane moments into beautiful images”.
